Small Business
Website Design
in Wichita
A website you can edit yourself, built by one person you can reach directly. Custom-coded or on Webflow, for small businesses in Wichita and the towns around it.
What a Website
Includes
Every site is built mobile-first, meaning it's designed for phones first and then scaled up to desktop.
- Custom site design & development
- Webflow builds & migrations
- CMS setup, structure & training
- SEO foundations & metadata
- Performance & Core Web Vitals
- Landing pages & small standalone sites
- Mobile-first layouts
- Handoff documentation
A CMS (content management system) is the editing area behind your site, where you change text, images, and pages yourself. Webflow is a visual website builder. SEO is how search engines find your pages, and metadata is the title and description they show. Core Web Vitals are Google's measures of how fast and stable a page feels.
Who This
Is For
I'm a small business web developer in Wichita, KS. I build sites for owners and professional-service firms who want something credible and fast, and who don't want to call a developer every time a phone number or a paragraph changes. You work directly with me, the person doing the building.
If you're looking for small business website design in Wichita, I serve Wichita, El Dorado, Augusta, Hutchinson, Mount Hope, Cheney, Maize, Bel Aire, Andover, Goddard, Park City, and Derby.
A Recent
Example
I rebuilt the website for a Wichita law firm on Webflow. The work covered a new site structure, a mobile-first layout, a CMS the firm's own team manages, attorney profiles, practice-area pages, a blog, and training with written handoff documentation. The aim was a site the firm can run without depending on a developer.
DataForge is a separate, independent company. I also work at a Wichita law firm and use DataForge's tools there, and nothing on this page speaks for the firm.
How a Project
Works
Every project starts with a free scoping call, where we talk through what you need. After that you get a written proposal and a milestone-by-milestone plan. If the scope changes, we agree on the change in writing before any work begins, so there are no surprise charges. Revisions within the agreed scope are included. At the end you get handoff documentation, plus training if the site has a CMS.
What It
Costs
Smaller, single-scope projects, such as a landing page, fall in the Starter range: $500–$1,500 per project, with a 1–2 week delivery window. Larger site builds are quoted after a discovery call.
After launch, two optional care plans keep a site healthy. They're for sites I've built, or others after a quick review.
- Content updates & copy edits (text, images, small page changes)
- Uptime & security monitoring
- Software/dependency updates
- Monthly check-in email confirming everything's healthy
- Includes 2 hrs/month; overage billed at $125/hr
- Everything in Care, plus:
- Small feature additions & integration tweaks
- Priority response (next business day)
- Quarterly performance/strategy check-in call
- Includes 6 hrs/month; overage billed at $125/hr
Unused hours don't roll over, and I always confirm overage before any extra work starts. Full pricing is on the Services page.
Beyond the
Website
Many small businesses also have problems that sit behind the website: manual processes, scattered spreadsheets, and reports someone builds by hand each month. I also build automation, dashboards, and process cleanups. See all services.

Common
Questions
- Can I update the site myself?
- Yes. I set up the CMS so you can change text, images, and pages without a developer, and I train you on it.
- Webflow or custom code?
- Either. Webflow is a visual builder, and custom code is written from scratch. I'll recommend whichever fits what you need.
- What happens after launch?
- You get handoff documentation. If you'd like ongoing help, the Care plans above cover updates, monitoring, and small changes.
- How does it start?
- With a free scoping call. You tell me what you need and I tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
